World Series of Poker 2008 Trip

The dates for our annual trip to the World Series of Poker are set. We're going to be there Saturday June 28 - Saturday July 5. We will be staying at the Rio. Our usual spot is Bally's, but the rates at the Rio are too good to pass up. The departure date is a little sketchy right now. If no one plays in the Main Event, then we may leave earlier than July 5th, but if we get some qualifiers, hopefully they'll be there for at least another week.

Other than getting into the ME, the target WSOP event that we plan on entering is Event #52, a $1500 NL Hold'em tourney on Monday June 30th.

Also, according to PokerNews.com, The Venetian 2008 Deep Stack Extravaganza III will be held from May 29th through July 16th, so these tournies are also an option.

"I was down three to one. I quickly turned that around on the first hand of Heads up. I flopped the second nut flush and checked. The turn paired the board and I bet the pot. He quickly called. I bet the river, he min raised and I pushed all in. He called. I won.

It was all down hill for him. He couldn’t keep up. I raised pre-flop and on the flop.

He was done."
